Microsoft has announced that, after 8 years of not increasing the $50 -for-12-months price of their Xbox Live Gold subscription service, they will be making changes to their current pricing structure. Microsoft’s, Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb, revealed that starting on November 1, a year of Xbox Live Gold will be increasing from it’s current price point by $10 in the US, bumping it up to $59.99 ($69.99 in Canada). Additionally, a one month subscription will cost you $9.99, instead of the current $7.99 and the 3-month subscription will rise from $19.99 to $24.99.
As a special deal, Microsoft’s offering a full year of Xbox Live Gold for only $39.99, saving you a $20 discount on what the new price will be starting in November. It’s only available to US users, check out the site for more details.
