As it promised, Samsung has introduced a true mirror-less Android running camera with an interchangeable lens – the Galaxy NX. The NX runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but unlike the Galaxy Camera or the Galaxy S4 Zoom, it is a true camera in every essence.

The viewfinder on the Galaxy NX is a 4.8-inch full HD LCD display, which is powered by a 1.6GHz Pega-Q quad-core processor and a DRIMe IV Signal imaging processor. The 20.3-megapixel APS-C sensor is complimented by a hybrid AF shutter speed with a blazing fast shutter speed of 1/6,000th of a second and 8.6fps shooting.

On the connectivity side, the Galaxy NX features Bluetooth 4.0, 3G/LTE and W-Fi, which should be more than enough to quench your connectivity thirst. Other key specs include 2GB of RAM and a 4360mAh battery. Samsung will be offering more than 13 different types of NX branded lens that will be compatible with the Galaxy NX. The good news is that if you already own an NX lens from Samsung, you can easily use it with the Galaxy NX.

On the UI front, things seem familiar with the ugly TouchWIZ doing its job. Samsung has also added 30 different ‘Smart’ shooting modes that should be more than enough.

The only two key piece of information that Samsung has not unveiled about the Galaxy NX are its availability and price. However, looking at the tech that the Galaxy NX packs, its definitely not going to be light on your wallet.
