Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date Pegged For September 25
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 will arrive on September 25 following an announcement at IFA, reports claim
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 will go into mass-production during June and July in time for a worldwide release on September 25, just like the Galaxy Note 3 last year, reports claim.
The word comes via South Korean news publication NewsTomato, which reaffirms reports that Samsung will announce the phablet device at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Germany, as it has done with every Galaxy Note phone so far. According to the report the information comes from Samsung shareholders.
Expected specs for the Galaxy Note 4 include a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display – meaning it won’t expand from last year’s Note 3 size, however, the resolution will be bumped up to QHD. There are two variants with different processors, as per Samsung’s usual MO, one uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip and the other uses Samsung’s new Exynos 5433 octa-core, with each using 3GB of RAM. Onboard storage is pegged at 32GB and while Google is thought to be prepping a new build of Android for announcement at Google I/O today, the rumoured build for the Note 4 is 4.4.3 KitKat.
Other rumours have pointed to a possible curved display variant, while the camera technology is expected to mimic the Galaxy S5 with a 16MP ISOCELL sensor on the back and an upgraded 3.68MP sensor on the front.
Samsung may also announce a new Galaxy S5 variant at the IFA 2014 event, possibly the “premium” Galaxy S5 Prime, and Samsung’s rumoured Gear Live smartwatch running Android Wear may make an appearance pairing with the Galaxy Note 4 just as the Galaxy Gear teamed with the Galaxy Note 3 last year.
