codbo_icon.gif A few days ago, when we talked about the new Call of Duty 7: Black Ops details revealed by the Official Xbox Magazine, i ended the article saying that Treyarch promised that a new Call of Duty 7: Black Ops trailer will be released on May 18th.

New Call of Duty 7: Black Ops Trailer and Screenshots Released

Being the stand up guys that we know they are, Treyarch held their promise and a new Call of Duty 7: Black Ops Trailer was aired on ESPN, yesterday night, during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Like Josh Olin, Treyarch’s community manager, said last week, this “Uncut Trailer” is made up almost entirely of gameplay sequences.

Watch the new Black Ops Trailer below.

So let’s see…what did we know about Call of Duty 7: Black Ops that was confirmed by this trailer?

  • various locations, from Vietnam to the snowy Russian mountains? check
  • player controlled helicopters ? check
  • new weapons like the crossbow (with an explosive secondary firing mode) and the firebreathing shotgun ? check
  • exciting set pieces (rappeling through windows, cliff-diving) ? check
  • SR-71 Blackbird ? check

Oh and another question – Are we hyped about Call of Duty 7: Black Ops ? Hell Yeah! – Double Check.

Activision and Treyarch have also release some new Call of Duty : Black Ops screenshots to go along with the new trailer. Catch them below.

  • COD: BO Screen 01; COD: BO Screen 02; COD: BO Screen 03;
  • COD: BO Screen 04; COD: BO Screen 05;COD: BO Screen 06;

Oh…and one more thing. Have you noticed that, at the end of the trailer, a voice says “Pre-order now for Xbox360“? If i wouldn’t know better, this line would of made me believe that Call of Duty 7: Black Ops is an Xbox 360 exclusive. According to Amazon, no matter if you pre-order Black Ops for Xbox 360, PS3 or PC, the game will be shipped on November 9th. So even a timed exclusivity for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is out of the question…for now. If you pre-order Call of Duty 7: Black Ops (Xbox 360 or PS3) from Amazon, you will get $20 off a future video game purchase.

Gamestop will also ship all the versions of Call of Duty 7: Black Ops at the same time (11.09.2010). If you pre-order the game for Xbox360 or PS3 you will receive a Gamestop exclusive 2-sided limited edition poster. ATTENTION: Extremely limited quantities.

Damn, why is the PC almost always left out of such offers?
