Google Glass, the experimental wearable computing do-hickey that Google hopes will take the world by storm in 2014, uses a glorified touch sensor on the side of your face to control the menus. It’s not the most elegant solution in the world, but it works. Say you don’t want to touch the side of your head all the time, what’s a Glass user to do?

Enter MyGlass, the application you need to install on your Android phone in order to get Glass to do anything other than record a video and take a picture. It’s just been updated to let you control your glass with your phone. How exactly does it work? Think of it like this. That touchpad strapped to the side of your right temple, it’s now moved to your phone’s massive display. Whether or not this is useful remains to be seen, because again, Glass is just an experiment.

When will you be able to buy Glass? Like I said earlier, 2014, though I can’t be more specific than that. If I had to take a guess, I’d say towards the end of the year. That future of Glass will likely not resemble what’s currently being tested, and as for price, I can guarantee you it’ll be under $999, but whether it’s a $599 or $399 product is something I don’t know.
