At the start of this month, The Korea Times published a report saying LG was working on the next Nexus. Three days ago, the Dutch site All About Phones spoke to an LG executive who said LG isn’t going to make the next Nexus. Now, courtesy of Unwired View, there’s yet another piece from Korea that says the LG Nexus 5 does indeed exist.

The report is from a site called Daum.net, which Unwired View cites as reliable because they were the first to leak the Pantech Vega Iron and the specs of the Galaxy Mega 6.3. Daum says there was a problem with the translation, and that they know for a fact that the Nexus 5 exists. They say Larry Page even saw a prototype.

Who should you believe? My gut tells me the Korean media is right. Because if you stop and think about it, why would an LG employee being interviewed by the media pre-announce a product? That’s just nonsense. It would be like someone asking Tim Cook if Apple was working on a watch that runs iOS, and Cook would say yes. You know that wouldn’t happen in a million years.
