LG G Flex leaks in pictures and a hands-on video

gflex_3_

A couple of weeks ago, the press renders of the LG G Flex leaked online giving us the first glimpse of the curved handset. Now, the folks over at The Verge have obtained their hands on some images of the handset from Argentinian broadcaster Telefe, who apparently managed to get the device for an in-studio hands on video.

According to Telefe’s reporter Federico Ini, the G Flex’s screen is 6-inches in size and is curved from top to bottom, unlike Samsung’s the Galaxy Round whose screen is curved from left to right.

The G Flex design seems to be inspired from the LG G2, which the volume and power buttons being placed on the back. Other specs of the handset are also said to be similar to the G2 including a Snapdragon S800, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP OIS camera.

Ini also suggests that the G Flex will see a limited retail availability and will not be available in Europe, USA or Latin America. The handset will, apparently, go on sale only in South Korea from next month.

It looks like the LG G Flex is more of a prototype meant for limited market availability and garnering some real-life feedback, similar to what Samsung is doing with the Galaxy Round.
