iPhone 6, iPad Air 2 AND iPad Mini 3 With TouchID Leak Online
Apple’s entire 2014 phone and tablet line up leaks…
2014 will be a big year for Apple. Not only will the company release a major update to its iOS platform and a smartwatch, but it also has updates for its iPhone and iPad in the works too. And today, the latter three (iPhone 6, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 2) have apparently been leaked online.
The leaked image comes via Apple Club and has since been picked up by 9to5Mac. As you can see, all three models feature Apple’s TouchID sensor. TouchID was widely believed to be coming to iPad, but this is the first real indication we’ve had that it is actually happening.
The design of the iPhone 6, with its power button on the side, ties in with previous leaks. Not much else is revealed in the image, aside from TouchID on the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3.
All three devices will run iOS 8, of course, and the iPhone 6 is expected to get a launch sometime in Q3 with a release date pegged for September. Less is known about the next-generation iPads, although a release during Q4 – in the run up to Christmas – certainly makes a lot of sense.
