HTC One owners in Taiwan are starting to receive Android 4.3, still same version of Sense

Last week, we reported that HTC made the Android 4.3 update for the One Developer Edition official. Today, that update is now being pushed out to consumers in Taiwan. According to Android Central, you’re going to have to download 512 megabytes of goodness to get the newest version of Android, but other than a minor bump in your phone’s about page, there’s not much else that’s new.

When will European and American One owners get this update? If the 4.2 update is anything to go by, and that happened just a few short months ago, Europe will get updated to 4.3 in less than two weeks. As for America, that’s a bit more confusing. Some people are saying that operators are waiting for HTC to release a software update that not only updates Android, but also updates Sense as well.

For those who missed it last week, a photo of a phone allegedly running Sense 5.5 leaked out of China. Compared to Sense 5.0, it’s far more attractive, minimal even, to the point where it’s safe to say that HTC’s designers were inspired by iOS 7. No word as to what new features Sense 5.5 will bring, but a fresh coat of paint always gets people excited.

And for those of you who are impatient, well, you know how to flash ROMs by now, so I don’t have to tell you how to do that. Google even sells stock versions of the One on their website, so there’s also that route.
