How To Use LG G3 Dual Window Feature
We teach you how to use one of the more exciting features on the LG G3
The LG G3 features one of the best (2K!!!) displays in the business. Nothing else comes close at the moment, save Samsung’s recently rebooted Galaxy S5, that is. In order to get the absolute most out of the G3’s 5.5in 2K display, LG has included a new feature called Dual Window.
Dual Window basically allows you to run two applications side-by-side. It’s a really useful feature that essentially lets you do two things at once. No wonder Apple has included something similar inside iOS 8.
Here, we’ll guide you through how to set it up
Step 1: Enter Dual Window
The first step is to ensure you’re on the home screen of your phone. If you are go to the navigation bar at the bottom and press the multitasking button. That’s our name for the one on the far left which brings up all your open apps.
Once you’re inside there it’ll display all of your open apps, so you can see what’s running. On the bottom right of the display it’ll say “Dual Window” –– you need to tap this.
Step 2: Choose Your Icons
You’ll have a few different options here and you want to drag one up and another down. We’re going to experiment around with the YouTube app and Google Chrome on the bottom.
Step 3: Experiment Around
Once you’ve chosen your apps and entered the Dual Window mode you can now experiment with options. If you turn the device into landscape the apps will follow. You can also resize the boxes to whatever size you want them to be. This can make it a lot easier to navigate through the pages.
To interact with an individual app you need to press on the window beforehand; so if you want to navigate on the YouTube app you need to tap on it and it’ll appear with a blue box around it. You can also use this to resize it.
The options here are pretty much limitless, so have fun experimenting with the great Dual Window feature on the LG G3.
