How To Use Knock On & Knock Code On LG G2, G2 Mini & LG G3
LG has introduced a unique new way to unlock its smartphones, here’s how to set it up
LG has introduced a novel way to wake and unlock its G-Series smartphones. Knock On essentially just wakes up the device whilst Knock Code allows 86,367 different combinations to open up your smartphone.
If you’ve got an LG G Flex, LG G3, LG G2, LG G2 Mini and a bunch of other handsets to come you’ll have the LG Knock features. Here’s a simple guide on how to set them up and use them.
Knock On
To wake your smartphone using Knock On you’ll need to set it up first. Head into Settings and then into how to wake your device and select Knock On. Now you just need to tap your device twice when in sleep mode for it to wake up.
Knock Code
Knock Code is a little more complicated, this is a secure method for unlocking your device. To set it up head into the Settings menu and go to Lock Screen, under there will be a variety of different choices including four-digit passwords and pattern unlocking.
From there you’ll be asked to choose your tapping password and enter it twice. There’s a series of squares on the screen to make sure you’re pressing the right areas.
After entering the code twice it’ll ask you for a back up password as well. This will just be a four-digit code you need to enter whenever you’ve forgotten your Knock Code.
Once all that is set up and saved just lock your phone to test it out. You get a few attempts at entering your Knock Code before it asks for your four-digit password.
