Falcon Pro, was at one point of time, the holy grail of Twitter clients on Android. However, after the application reached its 100k token limit, it was removed from the Play Store and was made available as a free download. The development pace also slowed down greatly with new builds being very buggy, causing many to ditch the app.
Joaquim Verges, the developer of Falcon Pro, is now back with his new app, Flyne – ‘The Offline Reader.’ The app syncs with Twitter and Feedly and provides a fast, elegant and simple way to read all the latest news. The highlight of the app is that it can fetch full articles from Twitter for offline reading. The articles are presented in a magazine like UI, similar to Flipboard.
First impression of the app are pretty impressive with a beautiful UI and smooth performance. However, most users might be appalled by the IAP purchase before they can even start using the app.
While the app in itself is free to download, syncing with either Feedly or Twitter requires an in-app purchase of 1$ each. You can try out the app, however, by browsing some of the pre-specified sources.
