BlackBerry 10.3 Update Adds Flatter Design, Endless Folders
BB10.3 will channel Apple’s iOS 7 with a flatter, more modern-looking UX and it’ll also feature “endless folders”
Say what you want about BlackBerry, but BB10 is bloody marvelous. It’s fast, secure and can now run pretty much any Android app going. The company’s future might be uncertain, but its BB10 platform just keeps on getting better and better. Are you one of the few million people using a BB10 phone? Read on for some good news!
First up, BB10 is getting a much-needed facelift. According to CrackBerry, the next big update to BB10 will see the overall UX take on a flatter, more-pleasing look similar to Apple’s iOS 7 and Google’s next iteration of Android. That means you can finally say goodbye to that gross grey shadowing BlackBerry insisted on surrounding BB10 app icons with.
Endless Folders
Like Android and iOS, BB10 has had support for folders for quite some time – since launch, in fact. With the advent of BB10.3, however, you’ll no longer be limited to how much stuff you can put inside them. According to CrackBerry, BB10.3’s folders will be endless and broken up with page numbers, as you can see below:
