Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 Expected As Microsoft Teases Event
Details and images have leaked for the Lumia 730, Microsoft’s “selfie phone”
Microsoft’s holding a Lumia event on September 4 and has teased with a photo of someone taking a selfie, the hashtag #morelumia is also present.
It’s emerged at the same time as some leaked details out of China, which suggest which devices might be making an appearance. We’ve previously heard rumours of the so-called “selfie-phone” and Microsoft’s teaser indicates this may be an emphasis for at least one device at the launch. Additionally, leaked pictures and info from Chinese social networking sites suggests we’re looking at the Nokia Lumia 730 and a 4G capable variant dubbed the Lumia 735. It seems there will also be a dual SIM version of the Lumia 730. According to these reports it will pack a 5MP front-facing camera, Windows Phone 8.1 and a 4.7in touch display.
At the same unveiling, Microsoft is believed to have the Lumia 830 ready to show off, a handset which has been referred to as an “affordable flagship”, whatever that means. It’s thought to carry PureView branded imaging capabilities and of course being a new launch will run the latest Windows Phone 8.1 software. Little else is known about the handset, but we don’t have long to wait before it is unwrapped, in fact Microsoft even has a countdown clock over on the Nokia Conversations Blog.
