Intel Bay Trail-T Processor Shows In Leaked Antutu Benchmark
We all know benchmarks aren’t exactly the most precise tools in evaluating a processor’s power in daily use and truthfully benchmarks from apps like Antutu can be easily manipulated. Nonetheless, if true this new leak gives an idea of the power on Intel’s newest SoC the Bay Trail-T.
Intel’s Bay Trail-T is composed of four Silvermont cores and was developed with tablets in mind. We should see devices launching with this SoC this fall, and from the leak you’ll know what to expect. The leaked benchmark shows a code name byt_t_ffrd10 which should be a reference device apparently running Android 4.2.2 so performance may not represent what we get when the final version is released.
The leaked benchmark shows a clock speed of 1.4GHz and lands an amazing score of 49,489. We’ve already seen earlier benchmarks of 1.1GHz units hitting the 43,000 mark, but considering the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 scores around 30,000, this is proving to be one blazing fast processor.
Is this the ticket into the tablet world Intel was waiting for? Will it blast the competition when it arrives? Leave your opinion on the section below and be sure to get the latest news here.
