iPhone 7 Plus Camera Samples From US Open Show EPIC New Power
Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus claims to have the best phone camera in the business. But what is it actually capable of in the right hands?

The biggest USP of Apple’s new iPhone 7 Plus handset is its camera. The new dual-camera system, similar to what we saw aboard the LG G5 and Huawei P9 earlier this year, promises to add in a level of finesse to photographs sorely missed on iPhones up to now.
The downside, of course, is that all this new imaging prowess is exclusive to the larger and more expensive iPhone 7 Plus.
Apple claimed the new iPhone 7 Plus camera could replace a DSLR in some circumstances and added that iPhone 7 Plus handsets would become synonymous with professional photographers.
The iPhone 7 Plus features a dual-lens rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 12-inch telephoto lens. The dual-lens camera offers 2x optical zoom, and supports depth-of-field (bokeh) effects.
But just HOW good is the new iPhone 7 Plus’ camera?
Well, ahead of launch Apple gave one to ESPN’s Landon Nordeman so he could photograph the US Open.
And there was us thinking that Apple didn’t do any special favours for the media!
Either way, the results of the iPhone 7 Plus’ day at the US Open can be viewed below.
But before that, here’s what ESPN had to say about the iPhone 7 Plus.
“The autofocus and exposure performed exceedingly well in various lighting conditions — so that even with one hand, he could get the shot,” ESPN writes. “Nordeman was able to execute his signature style —surprising moments from unique perspectives, using color and composition without distracting his subjects — in a fresh way by using the phone instead of a big camera lens and flash.”
