How To See Which iPhone Apps Use The Most Battery Power
Apple has introduced a new feature in iOS 8 that allows you to see how much power each app is using on your iPhone, here’s how to do it
Apple’s iOS 8 operating system is now available to all around the world who own a compatible device. There is a big selection of new features, large and small, including a feature that allows you to monitor how much battery power your apps are using. Not everyone knows it is there yet though, so here’s how you can monitor your battery life on iOS 8.
Jump Into Settings
There is a grey app called Settings somewhere amongst your apps, it should have a darker coloured cog in the middle. Press on that and jump into the Setting menu, when inside there head to General.
Find Usage
Now you are in the General section, you also want to find the section called Usage and then press on Battery Usage.
Monitor Battery Usage
Now you should be able to see how much battery you have used since your last charge, it’ll be right at the top of the page. That’s not a new feature but if you scroll down you’ll see a new list of apps. It’ll give you a hit list of the apps you have been running since the last charge and how much battery each app is eating up.
Inside here you’ll be able to identify which apps are draining the most of your battery and know when to limit each apps’ use. It may take some playing around over a couple of days to see which is the biggest drain. Just keep an eye on the top of the list, that is where you’ll find the ones that eat up the most battery.
