After a couple of misconstrued phrases from a Lenovo exec lead a few to consider that Motorola may just be making plans on killing off their Moto E and Moto G line (we deliberately left this out of our post yesterday), Motorola is right here to set the document directly. In a remark supplied to The Verge, a Motorola rep unearths the actual destiny of Motorola’s mid and coffee-finish flagships:
“Although we're simplifying the mixed Motorola and [Lenovo] portfolio, we don't have any plans to retire Moto G, our so much a success telephone, or Moto E.”
Whether it used to be one thing that used to be misplaced in the translation, or a remark taken out of context, it merely didn’t make a lick of feel that Motorola may kill off their bread and butter. Whereas Motorola’s top-finish units will have hassle gaining traction amongst the iPhones and Samsungs of the global, their decrease finish units — that are bought unlocked and agreement-loose on-line — have confirmed to be a lot more aggressive round the global.
So there you might have it, when you’re a fan of the G or E collection, those units will proceed to live to tell the tale and if this Lenovo exec is to be believed, be expecting Motorola’s whole Moto portfolio to feature fingerprint scanners and come equipped with 5-inch+ displays (for higher or worse).
