5 AWESOME Smartwatch Options For Under $100

You don’t need to break the bank to get a good smartwatch. These one's all retail for under $100

I know, I know: you think “smartwatch” and you naturally think “Apple Watch” or perhaps “Android Wear”. And then the next thoughts that come into your head is “how many hundreds of dollars am I going to have to splash out to get one?”

Well, if you do want an Apple Watch or most Android Wear watches, then yeah, you’re looking at a cost in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars. However, there is some good news: there are a lot of smartwatches out there that cost under a hundred dollars.

Yep, you heard that right.

Now sure, these sub-$100 smartwatches aren’t going to have the industrial design native to the Apple Watch or more expensive Android Wear smartwatches, nor will they have all the sensors, specifically ones for tracking health functions.

But that doesn’t mean that they are still perfectly good options for those who want to get notifications and the like on their wrist. So with that in mind, here are some of the best smartwatches we found for under $100.


Cost: $75 on Amazon

The LEM1 Pro is a great entry-level smartwatch choice for Android owners as it’s compatible with LGIC LGC-330W, Motorola V8160, HTC Voyager Spv E200 Xphone, Samsung X105, and the Sony Ericsson Z200.

Withings Activité Pop

Cost: $59 on Amazon

Withings has long made great tech gadgets and their entry-level smartwatch is no different. The Activité Pop looks gorgeous with its stainless steel and brass hardware. The watch tracks steps, distance, running and calories burned and also monitors your sleep.

Another great feature is the battery lasts for 8 months at a time, so no nightly charging. It’s also great for swimmers, being waterproof up to 150 feet. Finally, it’s got a beautiful 1.3in display. And oh, it's compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Sony Smartband Talk

Cost: $94 on Amazon

If you’re looking for a smartwatch that doesn’t look like a traditional watch, might we suggest the Sony Smartband Talk? This beautiful smartwatch features a beautiful E Ink display that shows you not just the time, but call, text, and other notifications. It features a hands-free speaker and mic that allows you to takes calls right from your wrist.

It also features basic activity tracking and weighs just 0.85 ounces. But keep in mind, it’s only compatible with Android devices.

Pebble 2 SE

Cost: $99 on Amazon

One of the first E Ink display smartwatches, the Pebble was an instant sensation when it went on sale years ago. And while we love the Pebble 2 SE, do note that the company is going through some changes and the device will only be officially supported until the end of 2017.

But it’s still one of the best low-cost smartwatch options out there with the ability to track steps, calories, runs, long walks and sleep; a built-in microphone and voice dictation; music control while paired with your smartphone; and a seven-day battery life. It’s also compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Asus ZenWatch 2

Cost: $89 on Amazon

This Android Wear smartwatch is a great choice for those who want a terrace looking design with a low price point. The ZenWatch 2 features a 1.63in Touch Screen Display on a Stainless Steel body with a leather strap.

It features both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as fitness tracking and support for most apps that support Android Wear.
