Apple releases MacBook FaceTime Camera Driver update for Windows users
The update for several different MacBook models, including the newest MacBook and the 2015 lineup of MacBook Airs and Pros, was released on July 29 and measures in at 1.4MB. It’s meant to directly improve the FaceTime camera compatibility with Windows, and Apple says it is recommended for all Boot Camp users out there in the wild.
Here are the system requirements, as listed by Apple:
- MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015)
- MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
- MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2015)
- MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015)
- MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
The update does not appear to be available through the Mac App Store at this time, so for those that want/need to download it, head through the source link below to download it directly from Apple.
