Last week Intel teased new chips for mobile devices and nowadays they formally unveiled them.
The Atom x3 chips are 64-bit and will improve twin-SIM 3G or LTE devices (Android or Windows). There will probably be 3 other chipsets all underneath the C3000 collection. They come with the C3130, that is a twin-center and the C3230RK and C3440, which might be each quad-center.
The x5 (Z8300 and Z8500) and x7 (Z8700) are quad-cores chips and according to Cherry Trail and a 14nm procedure. Intel expects those chips to energy Android and Windows devices priced as little as $120, which would come with 7-inch pills to 10.1-inch pc/tablet hybrids.
